Kevin Wong, CHAMPS Co-Founder
Like Spiderman, co-founder Kevin strongly believes that with great power comes great responsibility. Realizing that there are millions of people in the world without the basic necessities of life gave him a sense of purpose early-on to use his relative gifts to help those in need. He does, however, wonder how Spiderman would get around quickly if he didn't live near tall office buildings. Kevin is inspired by the fact that studies repeatedly show that the poor are more generous than the rich.
Sylvia Ng, CHAMPS Co-Founder
Co-Founder Sylvia's uppercut is so powerful she almost knocked herself out with it one time! Sylvia packs a lot of power into her philanthropic activities as well, and has lots of experience as a director on non-profit boards. Sylvia's favourite superhero is Gandhi, and brings his philosophy of "Being the change you want to see in the world" to not just her leadership of Charity CHAMPS, but everything she does.
Andrea Chan, CHAMPS Marketing
Andrea enjoys running, but that's not why her hero is Terry Fox. His epic will and passion inspire her and could be why her preferred super-ability would be to heal and take away pain! Andrea's caring nature isn't the only thing she brings to Charity CHAMPS though, her extensive experience in cause and online marketing is helping get the word out on our little organization that believes in the power of everyday heroes!
Julie Wong, CHAMPS Illustrator
Julie's gentle voice will get your guard down, but watch out, because she's more than meets the eye! Hailing from exotic Mauritius, Julie has been known to chase down thiefs on foot in her home country. But Julie's hands are super quick too, and she's using them now to develop CHAMPS characters while she refines her skills at George Brown College.
Lee Kim, CHAMPS Illustrator
Lee may not be an alien, but his illustration skills are out of this world! Our lead CHAMP developer has been drawing hero characters since he was a kid, and is a fountain of weird and wonderful ideas for the CHAMPS world. A serial-entrepreneur himself, he also is a muay-thai fighter. Not a bad combo for defeating the world's villains!
